Environmental Awareness in Germany 2006

Results of the Representative Population Survey

Environmental Protection is on the Upswing: The data from the Environmental Study 2006 show a definitive upward tendency of environmental awareness. 25% of Germans consider environmental protection one of the most important issues facing Germany today. For the first time, environmental protection holds second place in the rankings of the most important issues.

More information is available online about the Results of the Study, which was commissioned by the German Federal Environmental Agency and conducted at Philipps University Marburg. The complete report is available under "Download". A Summary of Results is also available.

At www.umweltbewusstsein.de you can also access the results from the years 2000 to 2004.

We hope you enjoy your research!
