Improvements

As in the past surveys, citizens this year reported seeing the biggest improvements in the purity of water (in lakes, rivers, and seas?) The least amount of improvement was seen in the condition of the soil, noise reduction, and climate protection. Concerning these last two issues mentioned, approximately every fourth person surveyed is of the opinion that it has gotten worse. In comparison to the surveys 2002 and 2000 there are overall no notable changes in the perceptions of progress or regression, with one exception. A quarter of those surveyed this year see big improvements in nature protection, 6% more than in 2002.
